The exhibition project “The Scroll of the Lineage” encourages us to reflect on Ukrainian customs and symbolism that accompanied the everyday and ceremonial life of our ancestors.
The exhibition is based on the ethnographic collection of the famous ethnologist, master of folk embroidery and collector Yuriy Melnychuk. Towels, shirts, tablecloths, folk costumes and accessories from different parts of Ukraine represent the wealth of folk art and traditions.
The exhibition is complemented by more than 30 sets of folk costumes from historical and ethnographic regions of Ukraine, as well as the author’s embroidered works of Yuriy Melnychuk and his students.
“The Scroll of the Lineage” is an opportunity to discover the treasure of Ukrainian cultural heritage and learn more about the symbolism of familiar things.
Ticket price: full – 250 UAH, student – 150 UAH, pensioner – 100 UAH, student – 50 UAH.
