Through irony, satire, vivid color, and playful distortion, Moldvan transforms familiar experiences and emotions into strange, humorous, and dreamlike scenes. Human heads meet animal bodies, everyday images take on unexpected roles, and familiar situations begin to behave in ways that feel both absurd and strangely natural. I
n That doesn’t happen, absurdity becomes a way of looking at reality from a slight distance. There is no single story to decode or fixed meaning to uncover — instead, the works invite us into a space where the familiar can feel unfamiliar, the funny can become unsettling, and the illogical suddenly makes perfect sense. Each viewer is invited to create their own connections and meanings through the encounter with the works.
