In the light of the cave, humanity’s call to create first emerged, and to this day we remain driven by an irrepressible desire to reshape space through imagination. The time when pigment and chalk served as language has left us with thousands of meanings. In this exhibition, the artist invites us to forget words and return once again to sensation.
In the event of a total catastrophe, what will remain of us? How will future generations interpret our history if no written records survive and only the image endures?
The materials of the works deliberately evoke the aesthetics of cave paintings, yet their subject matter is more relevant than ever: the stripped essence of the human being beyond the layers of culture.
