Art is always a dialogue between the boundless yearning of the spirit and the physical limitations of the material world. The project “Royal Hunt” became a form of intellectual strategy for the artist: a relentless quest for the true self, a tracking down of essence beyond the boundaries of the everyday.
Through the deformation of the human figure and the fragmented nature of his diptychs, Kost Borysiuk demonstrates that our body is a confined space; yet, it is precisely this limitation that becomes the essential condition for the ultimate breakthrough.
“Royal Hunt” is the path of a master who, until his very last breath, tracked freedom through the labyrinths of form. He proved that the narrower the constraints of the world around us become, the more powerful the explosion of the human soul breaking through them.
