The seventh solo exhibition by Lviv-based artist Petro Smetana at the Zelena Kanapa Gallery will showcase several series of his works. These include landscapes depicting cozy, visually pleasing locations, as well as pieces alluding to spiritual figures—created in dialogue with a 16th-century icon of Saint Thomas.
The exhibition features paintings created between 2020 and 2026 using mixed media; these works have not previously been shown in Lviv.
Concurrently, an exhibition of Petro Smetana’s work is taking place at the Andrey Sheptytsky National Museum in Lviv, featuring the joint project “Resurrection,” which represented Ukraine at the Venice Biennale in 2022.
