Descendant of Heroes” – an exhibition by the famous Lviv sculptor Oleg Kapustyak.
In his works, the artist turns to archaic images, fragmentation and unfinished form, rethinking them through his own experience and modernity. His heroes do not strive for an ideal form – on the contrary, it is in the fragment, texture and traces of work with the material that their expressiveness and character are born.
The exhibition will present sculptures from different periods of Oleg Kapustyak’s work, starting from the 1990s. In particular, the newest series “Maps” – works in which the artist rethinks space, matter and memory in a new way.
