“In 2026, no one who deeply studies the issue of art in society doubts that art during war is not only possible, but also necessary. (…)

What sprouts of budding artists are growing on this soil in Ukraine today? What questions do artists ask themselves, what answers do they offer for society? What is important for thought and reflection? How does this help a person grow or survive? Through art therapy, catharsis or escapism?

The exhibition project “Growth” proposes to record a non-representative cross-section of the art of budding artists who “grow” during the Russian-Ukrainian war in Ukraine…” — Olesya Domaradzka, art curator of the exhibition.

The exhibition will feature works by: Yevhenia Grigoryan, Anton Zaporozhets, Ksenia Zhydkova, Elizaveta Klimenkova, Anna Kuznyak, Yulia Skrypnyk, Halyna Dubyk, Vladyslav Ryaboshtan, Dilara Azhyn, Sophie Protchenko.

The activity is implemented by the Lviv Cultural Hub within the framework of the UNESCO program in partnership with art curator Olesya Domaradzka (Green Sofa Gallery) with financial support from the Spanish Agency for International Development Cooperation (AECID).
