Andrey Sheptytsky National Museum in Lviv

The Andrey Sheptytsky National Museum in Lviv is one of the most distinguished national art and culture treasuries in Ukraine.. Its proud repository houses over 175, 000 objects that signify the major attainments of Ukrainianian culture as an integral part of the world’s spiritual and artistic treasury. Among the Museum’s highlights is the rich collection of Ukrainian ecclesiastical art from 12^th – 18^th cc. A priceless collection of icons from the 14^th – 18^th cc. (over 4 000 objects). The museums ‘V collection includes valuable canvases by many distinguished Ukrainian artists: Taras Shevchenko, Kornylo Ustyianovych, Teofil Kopystynsky, Mykola Murashko, Serhiy Vasylkivsky, Fotiy Krasytsky, Petro Levchenko, Kiriak Kostandi, Oleksandr Murashko, Mykola Ivasiuk, to name but a few.

The spacious exhibition rooms highlight the iconic collections pieces of Ukrainian art of the 12^th – early 20^th cc. Illustrating the evolution of the national culture over a span of nine centuries.
